Closing the loop: getting a JK BMS to talk to a Deye inverter over RS485 when CAN refused to cooperate

CAN is the recommended path for BMS-to-inverter comms. When it wouldn't connect on a 6kW Deye off-grid setup, RS485 with the right protocol saved the install. Here's exactly what worked.
